The city’s green lung since 1746, the Jardin Public bears witness to Bordeaux’s history. Designed by Ange-Jacques Gabriel, a famous architect who is at the origin of the Place de la Bourse in Bordeaux and the Petit Trianon in Versailles. It is the first garden in France designed to welcome the public. It displays a face “à la française” like Lenôtre, gardener of Versailles.
